Isabella and Brian
Over the past year we’ve had the privilege of planning an unforgettable wedding for Isabella and Brian. Their desire for romance and elegance matched with the regal backdrop of The St. Regis in Washington, D.C. made it a joy to work with this couple to plan their wedding celebration.
Isabella and Brian met online while working in our nation’s capital, and their love story continued to grow. We were thrilled when they reached out to us about planning their wedding day, upon the reference of another former Boizelle Affaires bride and groom.
The day began with friends and family coming together as everyone got ready at the exquisite St. Regis Hotel, known for its timelessness and elegance. Even Isabella’s pup, Caleb played a special role in the morning. Elegant gowns, chic tuxedos and beautiful florals were waiting in the wings as the bride and groom had an intimate first look on the Astor Terrace.
While navigating the weekend was a bit of a logistical challenge due to road closures and a downtown parade, everyone involved with this special day quickly pivoted and handled it with all the grace in the world (dream team of vendors!). After several detours, everyone made it to the historic, Saint Mary Mother of God Catholic Church located in the heart of Chinatown for the Nuptial Mass.
The ceremony began with Isabella, radiant in her bridal gown, processing down the aisle with her mother by her side. Surrounded by close friends and loved ones, Isabella and Brian exchanged vows, promising to stand by each other through thick and thin.
Following the ceremony, the bride, groom and bridal party departed to take pictures at the botanical gardens and the streets of downtown D.C.
As cocktail hour began on the Astor Terrace at the St. Regis, guests were treated to a lavish reception including a raw bar and “The Garden” specialty cocktails – a recipe from one of the bride and groom’s favorite restaurants, Matsuhisa.
Inside the ballroom, tables were adorned with elevated floral arrangements and flickering candlelight creating an ambiance of romance and refinement. From the first toast to the last dance, Isabella’s bouquet dedication to her mother, to the champagne sabering and the sparkler exit, the night was a celebration of romance and beauty. Guests enjoyed late night snacks of milkshakes and burgers paired with espresso martinis before departing for an after party downtown.
The day was filled with countless planned (and unplanned) moments that created memories that will last a lifetime. It was a pleasure to work with Isabella and Brian and such an honor to play a part in their memorable wedding day. Cheers to many more years of love as husband and wife!
