At Boizelle Affaires, we love a May wedding, where seasonal beauty is paired with the timelessness of the St. Regis. Mary and Jeff’s wedding was just that, a reflection of modern elegance layered with personal touches, love for travel and inclusion of special people in their lives.
Mary and Jeff reached out about coordinating their day at the St. Regis, one of our favorite venues. Their vision for “modern elegance” with gold accents and beautiful florals was the perfect way to kick off our wedding season.
The day started in the Bridal Suite with the ladies getting ready while downstairs the vendors began transforming the St. Regis ballroom. Mary’s cousin created stunning tablescapes with floral and candlelight elements while we set Mary and Jeff’s personal details reflecting their love for each other and travel. They read heartfelt letters from each other, exchanged private vows, and had a first look with their dog, Rome, on the beautiful Astor Terrace.
Their ceremony incorporated personal touches, through music selections, a poem read by Mary’s Father and her godfather as their officiant. Mary wore earrings and pinned a brooch on her bouquet in remembrance of her late grandmother.
Cocktail hour began with a saberage, a St. Regis tradition and the wedding guests enjoyed signature cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres on the terrace.
Guests found their seats through a creative escort display inspired by destinations the couple visited together. After dances, speeches and large group photos, the couple kicked the dancing off with college friends and personalized sunglasses.
After a quick change into a second bridal gown, the couple took iconic portraits in the elevator. Guests enjoyed desserts from around the world, late night snacks and brought high energy onto the dance floor.
Mary and Jeff’s wedding stood out in its beauty and intentionality behind every choice. Their personal story told through travel details and their beloved families made the evening unforgettable. Every element felt cohesive because it was authentically them.
