An Eastertide Wedding

April 15, 2023

Kaitlin and Jonathan

This Eastertide wedding in the heart of Washington D.C. was the sweetest way to begin our Spring season.

Kaitlin along with her bridesmaids prepared for the wedding day at a home adjacent to the church. Kaitlin’s bridesmaids wore shades of light blue, which was the perfect Spring color for this April day. Since the wedding date was six days following the first Sunday of Easter, the already stunning St. Joseph’s Church on Capitol Hill was even more adorned with lilies and other pastel blooms. The magnificent interior of St. Joseph’s matched the focus of the entire day. Kaitlin and Jonathan’s wedding mass was a testament to God’s glory and goodness.

An April wedding in the city of course comes with the potential for some rainfall. We did have to pop open the umbrellas, but the newlyweds never stopped smiling! It’s also helpful to have a fabulous rain plan option for photos, and Union Station provided just that.

There was much to celebrate following Kaitlin and Jonathan’s Nuptial Mass! Guests joined the new husband and wife at The Crystal Room for a night filled with delicious BBQ and enjoyable dancing. There was never a dull moment on the dance floor! Kaitlin and Jonathan ended the night with a special toast to their guests, featuring Kaitlin’s late grandfather’s whiskey bottle; a tribute to a man she loved dearly!

Congratulations to the new couple! We treasure being part of this memorable day.
