A Charming Seaside Wedding

Avery and Dominic

This romantic day on the Chesapeake Bay was the most lovely way to celebrate the union of Avery and Dominic in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony!

Avery and Dominic met at The Catholic University of America in the heart of Washington, D.C. and dated throughout their last few years of college, which included quite a few of Dominic’s football games. Over the years their love grew stronger, some of which included the pandemic and long distance dating, but that also meant quality time spent with each other’s families.

I first met Avery over coffee a couple of years ago shortly after I launched Boizelle Affaires. It was refreshing to connect with another Catholic wedding planner and I always love seeing the gorgeous weddings she curates through her company, Cana Wedding Co.. This made it even more exciting when Avery reached out for us about coordinating her wedding! I remember receiving her email in the airport coming back from a conference and saying “YES!” Let’s do it. It was an absolute honor to assist with a dear vendor friend’s dream wedding day!

Every detail was thoughtfully planned and designed by Avery. Every detail from the place cards and table numbers that tie perfectly into the peach and light blue tones of the day to the very detailed vision for her detail shots with printed vows, religious items and more. Many of the gorgeous printed materials were designed by another fellow Catholic vendor, the wonderful Pietà Paperie.

April 22 was not only a special day for Avery and Dominic, but for Dominic’s grandparents as well. These two couples now share the same anniversary! A unique part of their nuptial Mass was the priest giving a special blessing to Dominic’s grandparents, recognizing their 62 years of marriage.

Following their nuptial mass, family and friends made their way over to the Wylder Hotel on Tilghman Island for the cocktail and dinner receptions overlooking the water. It was such a picturesque location, even with a few raindrops that decided to fall early in the afternoon!

The night included great conversation while enjoying delicious food, heartfelt toasts, and lots of dancing! The wedding celebration would not have been complete without cigars for the guests; an Italian tradition carried out by Dominic’s family at important celebrations!

Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Cipriano!
